of Sanger v. Dow, Shell and Occidental
San Francisco California County Superior Court.
Guy Loranger served as second chair in a case representing the City
of Sanger against the defendant chemical companies. Sanger alleged
that the defendant’s chemicals contaminated the plaintiff’s
water supply and sought to recover the cost of cleanup. The case
was settled after three months of trial for $16 million. A group
of similar subsequently settled for an additional $14.5 million.
